Resolution No. (34) of 2021 Regarding the amendment of some provisions of Resolution No. (121) of 2007 regarding the entry visa and residence permit for the family members of foreign workers and employers

The Minister of Interior:
After reviewing Resolution No. (121) of 2007 regarding the entry visa and residence permit for the family members of foreign workers and employers, as amended by Resolution No. (8) of 2018,
And after coordinating with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority,
And based on the presentation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs,

Has decided the following:

Article one
The definition of (family members) mentioned in Article (1) of Resolution No. (121) of 2007 the entry visa and residence permit for the family members of foreign workers and employers, and with the text of Clause (C) of Article (3) of the same Resolution, shall be replaced by the following texts:
Article (1) The Definition of (family members):
Family members: spouse, children, or parents.
Article (3) Clause (C):
C- The monthly income of the foreign worker or employer must not be less than four hundred Bahraini dinars when sponsoring the spouse or children under the age of twenty four, and the monthly income of the foreign worker or employer must not be less than one thousand Bahraini dinars when sponsoring children over the age of twenty four or the parents, with the condition that they have a valid health insurance in the Kingdom. The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs may exclude some cases according to the assessment of each case separately.

Article Two
The second paragraph of Article (2) of Resolution No. (121) of 2007 regarding the entry visa and residence permit for the family members of foreign workers and employers shall be repealed.

Article Three
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs shall implement this decision, and it shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
